Inlet History Walk!

Celebrate our country’s 250th birthday this summer by visiting the Inlet History Walk and exploring the history of our nation’s beginnings! Created by Inlet Public Library Director Joanne Kelly, this walk consisting of 15 infograms in the lovely woods of Fern Park and follows the progression of the revolution from the Boston Tea Party in 1773 to the Treaty of Paris in 1783. The history walk calls out many nearby important sites like Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Stanwix, the Battle of Oriskany, the Battle of Saratoga, and how Raquette Lake earned its name. At just over a half mile in length, this walk is perfect for all ages! This project would not have been possible without funding support from co-sponsor Inlet Area Business Association, and invaluable support from KC Kelly and the Inlet Parks Department.
